Product Description
SureAMID is a high-pressure piping system made from Polyamid 12 (PA 12) for natural gas and hydrogen supply at operating pressures up to 16 bar. The system comprises pipes, matching fittings and compatible welding equipment.
Polyamid 12 combines high mechanical strength with excellent resistance to rapid crack propagation and slow crack growth — properties that make SureAMID suitable for demanding gas infrastructure and for installation methods beyond conventional open trenching.
SureAMID pipes and fittings are produced in modern German and Austrian production facilities from high-performance raw materials, which ensures consistent quality and a long service life. Pipes, fittings and welding equipment are available as one matched system.

Material and system design
SureAMID is based on Polyamid 12 (PA 12), a high-quality material with excellent resistance to rapid crack propagation and slow crack growth. The high mechanical properties of PA 12 support alternative installation methods such as sand-bed-free and trenchless installation, and allow high tractive forces during installation.
The system comprises pipes and matching fittings in OD 110 mm and OD 160 mm (SDR 11), together with compatible welding equipment. Pipes and fittings are produced in modern German and Austrian production facilities from high-performance raw materials.
Welding and connection technology
SureAMID pipes and fittings are joined using conventional connection methods: butt welding for pipe strings and electrofusion welding for fittings and pipe connections. The connection types are HM and HS, and the electrofusion fittings are supplied with a fully embedded heating wire.
Standards and approvals
SureAMID is designed according to international standards and technical rules, including DIN EN ISO 16486, GW 335-A6 and DVGW G 472 A. The DVGW approval for the SureAMID PA 12 gas pipe in d75–d225 is available as a download on this page.
