Overview

Overview

PE material transitions and building connections are required in many infrastructure projects. FRANK provides project-specific PE connection solutions for a broad range of applications.

The solutions cover transitions between PE systems and other pipe and material types. Wall and floor penetrations can be engineered using several sealing and connection principles, and connections can be adapted to complex geometry, different pipe dimensions and existing structures.

Expert consultation supports complex project-specific connection requirements, drawing on proven FRANK sealing and connection technologies.

MATERIAL TRANSITIONS

Connections Between Different Pipe Materials

PE and PKS systems can be connected to other materials using project-specific transition technology. Typical examples include transitions to steel pipe, where the PE pipe is adapted to the steel pipe geometry.

Flange connections allow integration with adjacent systems, and transitions can accommodate pipes with the same internal diameter but different external diameters. The geometry and connection method are selected according to the existing infrastructure and project requirements.

Wall and Structural Penetrations

PKS pipes can be integrated into concrete walls using a shaft connection socket cast directly into the concrete structure. Steel flange connections at concrete walls provide a secure, pressure-tight interface.

Classic annular-space sealing remains a proven solution for standard wall penetrations. For more demanding applications, pressure-tight and project-specific wall penetrations can be engineered using PE sheet systems or alternative suitable sealing concepts.

The FRANK wall collar is cast directly into concrete and is available for wall or floor mounting. The SchlagPress sealing solution enables fast, secure installation where applicable.
